What is bamboo?
Bamboo has become a popular choice for sustainable fabrics due to how quickly it grows and without the need for pesticides or fertilizers. Bamboo requires very little water to grow and regenerates naturally requiring very little care. The type of bamboo used in fabrics is a tropical grass commonly known as Moso, and is not the tall ornamental bamboo found in gardens or the type that pandas enjoy.
Bamboo fabric is desirable for undergarments that sit directly on your skin because it is incredibly breathable, absorbent and has a soft, smooth surface. Bamboo fabric also helps to regulate skin temperature and is a good choice for anyone susceptible to skin irritation.
Bamboo fabric is quick-drying, and has naturally occurring anti-microbial properties that help control odour when we sweat.
Bamboo's amazing properties allow us to add both comfort and function to our underwear drawer.
