The tampon conversation has gotten bigger lately.

It usually starts with one simple question:

“What’s actually in them?”

From there the discussion goes in a few different directions.

Environmental impact.
A few fears.
Comfort.

For some women it changes nothing.
For others it opens the door to looking at alternatives.

And one of the alternatives getting more attention is period underwear.

But period underwear itself isn’t new.

What’s changing is the wish list to how it’s designed.

Chafing.

Periods can already make skin feel more sensitive. Add walking, heat, or wearing a dress and suddenly the inner-thigh rubbing becomes a real problem.

A lot of women say they wish period underwear had more thigh coverage so they didn’t have to deal with that friction.

Another thing that comes up constantly is the waistband.

Periods often come with bloating.
So a tight elastic waistband that feels fine in the morning can start digging in by midday.

Women talk about waistbands that:

“leave marks”
“dig in when I sit down”
“feel too tight when I’m bloated”

What they want instead is simple:

A longer leg to protect the inner thigh.
A smooth-fit waistband that sits comfortably without tight elastic bands.

So a smooth-fit, leak-proof underwear doesn’t sound like such a crazy idea after all.

Meet FLOW.
