The gusset in underwear is a hot topic.
Scroll the internet and you’ll see comments like:

“Why is the gusset so short?”
“Why does it feel like it’s in the wrong place?”
“Why am I adjusting my underwear all day?”
“The legs are long… but the middle part missed the memo.”

And no — women aren’t being dramatic.

Because that little pocket inside your underwear isn’t for decoration.
It’s for real life.

Movement.
Bodies that aren’t mannequins.
Sweat. Discharge. Periods. Walking more than five steps. Sitting down. Standing up. Existing.

So why does it keep getting overlooked?

Our guess?
Because it’s not the part you see on a model.
It doesn’t sell the underwear at first glance.
It doesn’t photograph well.

So instead of being designed, it often gets treated like a checkbox — copied from an old pattern, shortened, shifted, or added last.

And the result?
Underwear that looks great on the hanger…
but quietly drives you mad by lunchtime.

Because when the gusset’s wrong, you feel it all day — even if you can’t quite explain why.

And honestly?
If there’s one part of underwear that deserves more thought —
it’s the part doing the most work.
